The Vienna Contemporary, Austria's contemporary art fair, took place in 2021 #underconstruction in an experimental format at the construction site of the Alte Post. SHA.ART designed a guest contribution: NUCLEUS.
The immersive room installation NUCLEUS had a model character for the large-scale media artwork that is being created for the Neue Alte Post. The core theme is the relationship between nature and human technology. SHA.ART understands space as a living organism that can merge with people. In NUCLEUS, it is real-time processes in which an artificial intelligence in the form of complex pixel universes attempts to reconstruct archaic images of nature. The processing is influenced by the historical architecture, where the newly generated image worlds are projected, and by the people moving in this space. Real and virtual space interact. Nature plus/versus technology is renegotiated analog-digital in every moment and made sensually accessible. Archaic and futuristic at the same time.
